Dr. Roger Sperry, Nobel Prize winner for brain research quotes:

“90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine”.

Modern posture has essentially incapacitated this movement. Each of the 25 vertebrae are designed to move independently of one another, and they require daily motion equivalent to our hunter-gatherer ancestors; at least 7 – 10 miles of walking per day or expended between 800 and 1,200 calories per day in physical activity. Human locomotion involves movement of the spine, each vertebrae moving in unison working together. This normal movement of the spine in a normal human environment generates 90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain. Modern sedentary living, mis alignments and faulty movements in the spine combined with poor posture diminish nutrition and stimulation to the brain. The only evidence-based solution for lifestyle diseases, diseases of civilization, is mimicking Mother Nature like our hunter-gatherer ancestors because that is how our genetic constitution was written. How well we eat, move, think, connect and cope with stress determines our epigenetic destiny. It’s your choice. It’s your daily choice. It’s your life choice. It’s not genetic, it’s epigenetic- it’s the environment. It is essential to have your spine checked by a well trained chiropractor. Just do it.
