Dr. Matt Hammett
Board Certified Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Matt Hammett attended Northern Illinois University and Kishwaukee College, was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa scholastic honor fraternity and National Deans List. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. During his studies at Palmer, he participated on a clinic abroad trip to Brazil where he received his vision to dedicate his practice and life purpose on the attainment of health and wellness for families. His mission is to communicate with his patients how they can get free from pain, stay free from pain, and live well. His personal motto is to “Educate Not Medicate”.
Dr. Matt Hammett is also proficient in Thompson Drop, Gonstead, Motion Palpation, Diversified, Palmer Package, Activator, Arthrostim instrumentation, Koren Specific, and Nimmo techniques. He also offers nutritional counseling for his patients.
Dr. Matt Hammett is also available for lecturing in-site and off-site. Attendees gain useful insight and strategies on the attainment for improving health and wellness. Dr. Matt Hammett co-authored a book (Inspire Chiropractic) with his wife, Dr. Trish Hammett, to help empower other Doctors of Chiropractic to lead successful lives by promoting the chiropractic wellness lifestyle to there communities. This book, inspired by the best selling classic (Think and Grow Rich) by Napoleon Hill includes a special introduction by Dr. JB Hill (Napoleons grandson and physician). Amongst other awards, in 2014, Dr. Matt Hammett was named World Top Chiropractor and Leading Physician for Merrillville, IN.

Dr. Trish Hammett
Board Certified Chiropractic Physician & Diplomate in Chiropractic Pediatrics/Pregnancy
Dr. Trish Hammett, daughter of a successful dentist and granddaughter of a successful surgeon and missionary, is carrying out her families legacy. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree as a double major from Northwestern University in Molecular Biology and Political Science. She then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated magna cum laude with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. During her studies at Palmer, she became President of Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF), and a member of the scholastic honor fraternity Pi Tau Delta. During her last year at Palmer, she participated on a clinic abroad trip to Vietnam to help impoverished women and children, and she began her extensive post graduate study on pediatric care under the direction of Dr. Jeanne Ohm, president of the International Pediatric Diplomat program.
This extensive program makes Dr Trish an authority on womens health, pregnancy, infants, and teens. The pregnant moms under her care often feel better during pregnancy and have easier quicker deliveries. She has lectured to obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians and doulas about the Websters Technique- a natural gentle procedure that allows a breech baby to assume the normal head down position prior to delivery- and Cranio-sacral Technique – to improve nursing and infant health. For this reason, and others, Dr. Trish frequently receives referrals from other health care providers throughout IN, IL and MI, making her a sought after family chiropractor in the region. Her lecture workshops on various health issues reach not only North West Indiana, but have extended nationally including the Clemson University Series on the attainment of stress management.
Dr. Trish Hammett also learned the Koren Specific Technique from the world renowned pioneer Dr. Tedd Koren. This technique provides light force adjustments and patient care can be administered while standing or sitting. Therefore, antalgic postures, and/or pregnant moms do not have to lie down to get there treatments. She is also proficient in Thompson Drop, SOT, Cranio-sacral, Motion Palpation, Activator, Arthrostim instrumentation, Diversified, Torque release, Koren Specific, and Nimmo techniques. She also offers nutritional counseling for her patients.
Dr. Trish Hammett is not only a sought after lecturer, chiropractor and teacher. She recently co-authored a book (Inspire Chiropractic) with her husband, Dr. Matt Hammett, to help empower other Doctors of Chiropractic to lead successful lives by promoting the chiropractic wellness lifestyle to there communities. Dr. Trish Hammett is also available for lecturing in-site and off-site. Her topics include: pediatrics and pregnancy care, stress management, arthritis, and acute/chronic pain ailments.
